Up north

I've been up north this week attending a training course  I've never been to Northumberland before, so I was keen to make the most of being based in Newcastle upon Tyne for a few days.

I decided to focus on the coastline or Druridge Bay, namely the Country Park, Coquet Island, Druridge Pools and Cresswell Pond.  Having often seen the names on bird new services and heard tale of other peoples's visits, it was good to finally put a face to that name.  The highlights included a red squirrel at the Country Park and a stoat in partial ermine at Cresswell Pond as skeins of pink-feet passed overhead.
